Ritorno dell'FM in Svizzera

Secondo Satellifax.de, da quando la Radiotelevisione Svizzera (SSR) ha annunciato il ritorno alla radio FM, sono sorte speculazioni sulla misura in cui l'emittente pubblica svizzera intende attuarlo. Una soluzione proposta, che sembra provenire da Radiotelevisione Svizzera (RSI), l'emittente della Svizzera italiana, potrebbe servire da modello per le altre regioni linguistiche.

Secondo questa proposta, Rete Uno tornerebbe a essere trasmesso praticamente sull'intera rete di ripetitori FM, comprese le linee principali e i ripetitori. Rete Tre sarebbe disponibile solo lungo l'autostrada N2 e nelle città più grandi come Lugano e Locarno. La stazione culturale Rete Due non tornerebbe affatto in FM e continuerebbe a essere trasmessa esclusivamente in digitale. Anche i programmi delle altre regioni linguistiche rimarrebbero sulla radio digitale e non tornerebbero in FM.

La SSR non ha ancora confermato pubblicamente se un ritorno "leggero" alla FM sia effettivamente in programma in questa forma. Un problema generale: soprattutto nelle piccole stazioni di ripetizione, l'infrastruttura FM è stata smantellata; riattivarla richiederebbe molto tempo e denaro.

Weather RTTY

 In Hamburg (Germany) there are RTTY weather stations: DDH2, DDH7, DDH8, DDH9 and DDH47.

DDH47 broadcasts on the frequency of 147.3 kHz, which is just outside the longwave broadcasting range (148.5 kHz – 283.5 kHz). It transmits weather reports, mainly for shipping, via radioteletype (RTTY) at 50 baud. The transmission of meteorological information by the German Weather Service via its RTTY transmitters DDH7, DDK2, DDK9 as well as DDH8, DDH9, and DDH47 (maritime weather service) serves exclusively the safety of shipping within the framework of the international SOLAS convention.
